JD Christie
SUMMIT was founded by a former U.S. Marine and professional athlete who's now a husband and father of two. With firsthand experience balancing family, career, and fitness, he recognized the need for a smarter, more efficient way to train.
Gavin Rentschler
Originally from Indiana, Gavin grew up in a big, active family as one of nine siblings. In 2017, he moved to Florida to pursue his passion for fitness and earned a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Performance from Southeastern University in Lakeland.
With over 6 years of professional training and gym management experience, Gavin brings a well-rounded skill set to every client he works with. His specialties include bodybuilding, strength training, agility, plyometrics, mobility, and injury prevention. He’s trained a wide range of clients-from seniors and beginners to athletes and team sport groups-always tailoring his approach to meet each individual’s needs.
An athlete himself with a background in soccer, basketball, and beach/indoor volleyball, Gavin understands the power of movement to transform not just performance, but long-term health and quality of life. His mission is to help others experience those same lifelong benefits.
Outside of the gym, Gavin enjoys time with his fiancée, staying connected with family and friends, and living an active lifestyle rooted in balance and purpose.
Michelle Sharp
As a mom, athlete, and certified trainer, Michelle knows firsthand the power of rebuilding strength-physically, mentally, and emotionally. With over 4 years of experience, she's helped clients of all backgrounds, from beginners and seniors to athletes and kids, move with purpose and confidence.
